Jessica Keehan

As a dancer and runner, I had no weightlifting experience going into college. After gaining the freshman fifteen, I entered my apartment gym and began my fitness journey on the cardio machines. Over the years, I progressed from private dumbbell workouts in my room, to machines and free weights in my community gym, and finally to barbell exercises at the gym on Marine Corps Base Hawaii.

The first 7 or 8 pounds of muscle had me elated; my self confidence skyrocketed more than it ever did when I lost weight in college. I was hooked on, for the first time in my life, feeling strong and not always being the weakest, scrawniest girl in the room. Noodle arms no more! Soon, I found myself stuck at a plateau struggling to put on more weight, so I began to dabble in nutrition. It was then I decided to combine my passion for fitness and helping others as a Personal Trainer.

Becoming a trainer 5 years ago, I was most excited to help females just like my past self who were interested in gaining weight and strength. I quickly found that most females were not seeking that goal; most were wanting to lose body fat and most lacked confidence in themselves. Over the years, I have grown to love the mental and emotional transformations my clients experience just as much as the physical transformations.

Seeing individuals I truly care about grow to love their bodies at any weight and appreciate what their bodies can do is what gets me out of bed every morning. I have now guided clients to weight loss and fat loss goals, get stronger and overcome injuries, and improve sport performances. I look forward to many years of goal-achieving and building long-lasting relationships with members of Los Campeones!
